How It All Started
R54 was born out of a real Nigerian problem — phone theft and the lack of a system to stop it.
Our founders saw that too many people were losing their phones without a way to trace them, prove ownership, or prevent resale. It wasn’t just about the device — it was about data, identity, and security.
In 2020, we started research and prototyping. By 2022, we built a small solution that connected IMEI to identity using NIN and SIM data. That solution grew into Mobile Armour — now one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing anti-theft tools for mobile users.
We’ve since expanded our platform to work with telcos, the police, and law enforcement agencies to help reduce crime and increase accountability in device use across the country.
From a small team of 3, we’ve grown into a national brand trusted by users in every state.
